The Celebration Choir |
| This exciting group seeks to lead our church in worship. The choir usually sings each week during the morning services and occasionally on Sunday evenings. We also present several special events during the year such as a Christmas musical and an Easter pageant. Membership in the choir is open to all adults and youth (7th grade and up). Musical experience is not required, only a desire to sing joyfully. The Celebration Choir rehearses each Sunday evening at 7:00 PM and at other times as announced. |
Praise Band/Orchestra |
| The Worship Ministry is seeking to develop a quality
Praise Band to provide instrumental accompaniment for all church worship
services. We are looking for pianist/keyboardist, drummers, percussionist,
guitarist, brass and wind players. Musical experience and training
in one of the instruments above would be helpful but we can provide training
for anyone desiring to learn. If interested in the Praise Band, please
contact Dave Spiers. |
Soloist |
| Our worship services regularly feature solos from
church members and guest. Individuals who wish to be placed into
the solo rotation should contact Dave Spiers. First time soloist
are required to audition and attend a solo class with is offered semi-annually. |
Praise Teams |
| We utilize praise teams to help lead in worship. Individuals
desiring to serve as a worship leader on a praise team must audition, attend
weekly praise team rehearsals, and participate in the Celebration Choir's
rehearsals and presentations. Please contact Dave Spiers if interested. |
Technical Support Team |
| This talented team seeks to support the worship ministry
through the operation of the sound, lighting, and video projection systems.
Individuals interested in serving on this important team should pick up
an application from the worship office. |
Adult Ensembles |
| First Baptist has several quality vocal and instrumental
ensembles. These are auditioned groups and some musical training/experience
is required. Auditions are held when an opening occurs.

Children's and Preschool Choirs |
| First Baptist offers choirs for preschoolers (K3-K5) and children (grades 1-5). Each choir sings regularly on Sunday mornings. These choirs rehearse on Sunday nights during a portion of the 6:00 PM worship service. They begin the worship service with parents and are dismissed after the song service. |
