The Special Needs Department consists of people affected by disabilities (physical and/or mental). Our goals in the special needs department are to:
- Provide a safe, secure, loving environment adapted to the special needs of each individual.
- Help individuals with disabilities and their families feel welcome and accepted in the body of our church.
- Enable the parents to feel comfortable in leaving their child in the Special Needs class so that they can attend church.
- Share Christ with people who have disabilities and introduce them to a personal relationship with God.
- Establish this ministry to serve as a witness to the community for meeting the spiritual and social needs of those with disabilities.
At 9:15am each Sunday, we offer a Sunday School class for all ages who require a small group setting or who need one-on-one attention.
We also offer a “buddy system” for those who may require some special attention, but who would rather be in the regular classes for their age group. This ministry is also available during other church events (fellowships, activities, etc.)
